This past year has been a doozy. We have managed to cram in three major life events. We finally moved into our new house. Technically we owned the house in December of last year, but we did not actually occupy the house until January 2009. This year was spent renovating the house, and we have the pictures to prove it!
On April 2, 2009 we welcomed Audrey Elaine McIntire into the family. She may qualify as two life events, as she has definitely been a handful. She entered this world a sweet, docile newborn, but she has evolved into a very precocious infant. She was beginning to give us orders at about 3 months. Just when you think that you have never seen such a stubborn little baby, she flashes you the most gorgeous smile. She knows how to work it. She has red hair and the most beautiful blue eyes (from her daddy). She isn’t crawling yet, but she is sitting up and making grabs for all of her toys. We are so thankful for our little girl!
In August of this year, Landon began attending preschool three days a week at a local church. He absolutely loves it! He brings home lots of drawings and projects. He is even beginning to learn how to write his name. So far, he can write the “L”. He is a ball of energy. Some of his favorite things to do are to play with his cars and play “yoosics” (music) with daddy–he has become quite the singer! He has been a great big brother. He has figured out that he can make his little sister laugh, so, occasionally, he will let Audrey “chase” him around (it’s really Mommy holding Audrey and running after him). We are so proud of him and all that he is accomplishing.
Our other major life event came when Ryan started a new job in October. Ryan was offered a position as a product manager for Presagis, a modeling and simulation software solutions company here in Orlando. He is excited about this next step in his career path. The window office isn’t too shabby either. Also, he is enjoying being a father of two. He and Landon love to “play rough”, and he has a great time “flying” Audrey around above his head. In his spare time (ha ha!), he still plays worship at our church.
Jenni is adjusting to being a mother of two. Some days are harder than others, to say the least, but she is so grateful for both of her little munchkins. She has slowly been easing back into the world of improv. She is back performing with her group OFFSIDES, and she is also doing Wednesday nights at SAK Comedy Lab with the Gen S group.
We have been blessed with some wonderful things in 2009, but we are ready for a less eventful year. Here’s to 2010! May it be filled with the everyday and the ordinary!
We hope you all have a wonderful Christmas celebrating the greatest miracle of all time!
Much love,
The Macs
