In Rebuttal

I may not have a fancy chair with which to be rocked to sleep upon. I do not need such juvenile things. No, I am shown love my being allowed to explore my artistic side.

The woman who calls herself my mother let me take my own self-portrait:

I think I may have found my new calling.

What? Me worry?

I know what you’re thinking and the answer is no, I don’t think my life will change after this baby thing is born. I mean, what could possibly change? I have no doubt that I will still be the center of attention. Oh sure, I ‘ve learned to “share” some of my time with my sister, Summer. But, I mean, come on. Everyone knows I’m still in charge around here. I get to go on fun walks and visit my friend Milo on occasion. Summer has to just sit around the house with that ridiculous lamp shade on her head. You don’t see me wearing weird apparatuses on my head, do you? You need more proof that I’m still numero uno?

Check out this cool new chair that mommy and daddy got to rock me to sleep. Need I say more?

Landon’s Room: Phase 2

null

The process is getting close to completion. All the furniture is cherry, and it looks awesome with the wall color. The wall color came from the fabric you see here on the crib. I picked out the fabric, and my friend, Kathryn, sewed like crazy to produce the crib bumpers and skirt you see here. She also did curtains, a comforter, and the pillow on the glider!

Speaking of the glider…We were so blessed to have Ryan’s family chip in to get us this much needed piece of furniture. I’m sure Landon will be rocked to sleep many a night in this chair.

We still have a few cosmetic things to do (hang the curtains, put pictures up, hang a guitar on the wall, etc.), but all of the essentials are in place. Oh-well, we still need the mattress and the changing pad, but all the assembly stuff is at least taken care of. What would the process be without a Phase 3, after all?
