Family Pics

We had our first family photo session! My friend Sara Yates is an up and coming photographer, and she photographed our family. She did an amazing job. We couldn’t be happier with the pictures. If any of you in the Orlando area are looking for a photographer, let me know. I’d be happy to get you in touch with Sara. She does weddings, family photos, group photos, senior pictures, and anything else that you need photographed.

Make sure you check out our Family Pictures album.

Christmas 2006

Merry Christmas, everyone!

null

It was last year about this time that we announced the impending arrival of our little baby boy (although we didn’t know he was a boy at the time–we found that out in January). Now, Landon is almost 7 months old. It is amazing how time flies. Remember how our parents always told us that, but we never believed them? Well, once you reach a certain age, that rule applies. We have enjoyed watching him grow and learn. Just the other day we were eating out at a restaurant and Landon started grabbing at things at the table. Before, it was no big deal because he usually missed. Now, he has impeccable aim, and we had to move the sharp objects out of reach. He also is becoming quite cable of twisting and turning his body which makes holding him and changing his diaper a full-on workout sometimes. And we are often told from other parents that this will only worsen as the months pass. Despite all these “obstacles”, we thank God for Landon every day. We prayed for so long that God would bless us with a child, and we are reminded of how faithful God is every time we gaze at his adorable little face.

Okay, so we figured most of you wanted to hear all about Landon. That’s why he gets the first paragraph. As for the rest of the McIntire family, here it goes: Ryan is still working at Quantum3D here in Orlando. He recently received a certificate of appreciation for outstanding support in the development and delivery of highly detailed moving models for the United States Special Operations Command. He has also advanced into a new role that would be entirely too complicated to describe. Maybe giving you his title will help: Senior Synthetic Natural Environment Engineer. That explains a lot, right? Ryan is also playing guitar in the worship band at our church, H2O. When he is not engineering or playing guitar, he still enjoys putzing around on his 1985, 1991 Mercedes and his 1965 Vespa VBB. His favorite past time of late is flying our little Superman around the house and making him laugh using whatever tactics necessary. These tactics include raspberries on the belly, saying “How now brown cow”, and giving Eskimo kisses.

Jenni is enjoying being a stay-at-home mom. Although, she frequently wonders where all that free time is that she fantasized about having when she envisioned staying at home. She is also a member of an improv comedy troupe here in Orlando called Offsides. Make sure you visit the site that Ryan did for Offsides at offsidesimprov.com. She enjoys honing her improv skills, which she believes sharpens her mental skills as well. When she is not being silly on stage in public, Jenni enjoys being silly at home for Landon. She also loves to make Landon laugh. Her strategies include singing the ABCs, saying “Oh really, fool?”, and jumping up and down. Jenni also takes Landon to Gymboree classes once a week. Here he gets to interact with other kids, and Jenni gets to interact with other moms. Of course, Jenni doesn’t know any of the other mother’s names, as moms wear a name tag with their child’s name written on it. Still, they have a good time.

Abby is enjoying being a “big sister” to Landon. If she had her way, she would lick every finger and every toe of his. I’m not sure if she is trying to, but she can also get Landon to laugh. Her methods include barking, squeaking her toys, and rolling over. Much to Ryan and Jenni’s chagrin, Abby’s methods seem to be the most effective. Landon thinks she is hilarious.

Thanks for taking the time to check out our site. We appreciate each and every one of you. We want to wish you all a Merry Christmas as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.

Cheers-
Ryan, Jenni, Landon, and Abby
