As some of you know it was a year ago today that my little bro had his horrible accident at work with his foot. We are so thankful for Matt’s continued healing and also grateful for all of the support that our friends and family gave us during this difficult time. I thank God for Matt’s amazingly understanding perspective on the outcome of what happened that day.
I began writing this song for Matt as I was sitting in airports trying to get to him through the blizzard that February brought last year. I was fortunate enough to be on the the only Jet Blue flight that finally made it out of JFK to Chicago that evening! Anyways, I recorded an acoustic version of the song last night and I wanted to share it.

Well, we’ve had a busy 2008 so far. After Christmas up North, we came back down to sunny Florida to enjoy not freezing. January seemed to go by in a flash. So, here we are in February updating our site. Check out everyone’s pages. For the home page, here are a few pictures to catch you up to speed:
Some of you may remember our very first post on this blog site. Well, this is that same orange. We thought it only fitting to take a picture of the updated McIntire Family.
Also, Grandma Mac came to visit the beginning of this month. We had such a good time. Although, both Landon and Grandma Mac ended up with the sniffles (notice Landon’s shiny red nose).
We just got back this weekend from visiting my (Jenni’s) grandparents in Ft. Myers where they spend the winter. We had such a nice time, and Landon got some one on one time with GiGi and Great Papaw.

Well, another year has begun, but my life remains pretty much the same. At least the boy doesn’t swat at me anymore. Nope, now we are like peas and carrots. He likes to throw my toys for me to go fetch (although I rarely bring them back). He still likes to “share” his snacks with me. Yup, we get along just fine. He doesn’t judge me for my little eccentricities (like sniffing armpits)…
and I don’t judge him and his fashion choices.
